Wherever they stop, the group arrives armed with their striking regalia and one distinctive mission: to represent their people. “When we were overseas in Australia, that was the first time a lot of people had ever seen a Native American,” says Shirley. “We want to showcase what real Indigenous people look like—not the Hollywood negative stereotypes.”
